Alex Kramer – Branding and Administrative Intern – Spring 2021

Tell us about yourself, what school do you attend, your major, and any extracurricular
activities?

Hey! My name is Alex Kramer, I am a Sports Marketing and Business Intelligence double
major at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA and I am a member of the Women’s
Division 1 Tennis team.

What brought you to GraySquare?
I found GraySquare through Stow who is also currently interning at GraySquare and is also a close teammate. Stow told me about the position over Winter break and I thought it would be a great opportunity, so I decided to check it out and I was extremely grateful to have to
chance to interview.

What do you like about your internship opportunity?
What I like most about this internship opportunity is that it provides me with the chance to
make lots of really important connections. Everyone is so welcoming, and I am excited for
the next couple of months ahead. I also like the design and branding side of the internship it
is making me think of new ideas that can help benefit the social media at GraySquare.

How would you like this experience to shape or impact your career goals?
I would like this internship to help me be more successful in the future. I enjoy marketing and am thinking of going into a sales/marketing background, so I hope I gain lots of knowledge and speak and meet new people through this role at GraySquare.

Goal(s) for 2021.
I would love to join a summer internship program here in Philly. I would also like to have
and compete in the tennis season as we did not have much of an opportunity to play last
spring semester. I want to continue to improve my academics and be the best possible version of myself.

Tell us something that might surprise us about you.
I am from the United Kingdom from just outside of London and came over to Philadelphia in 2018 to start University here. I had previously visited New York and Philly with my parents back in 2016 and loved the city so was very happy when I got the opportunity to come back over to the US.

Your favorite quote that inspires you
“It’s the action, not the fruit of the action, that’s important. You have to do the right thing. It
may not be in your power, may not be in your time, that there’ll be any fruit. But that doesn’t mean you stop doing the right thing. You may never know what results come from your action. But if you do nothing, there will be no result.” – Gandhi
